Description: Class based on cars as they are supplied by various manufacturers grouped together into classes’ based on the time frame and racing groups that they actually participated in. More extensive modifications are permitted, stock or 3D printed chassis substitution is permitted, and the substitutions of parts from multi-manufactures to improve performance are permitted. Only the listed build rules and approved substitutions to the manufactures supplied parts shown under the “General Rules/Multi-Manufacture” section and subsection, and the “class specific” sections (as listed below) will be permitted.

Description: Class based on cars as they are supplied factory stock by a manufacturer with targeted modifications and substitution of parts to improve performance for the purpose of creating a “Spec” class and a series of “Championship” events. For Championship level events, only the posted “Championship Rules” are followed and enforced. For club level events, the posted “Championship Rules” as modified by the listed build rules and approved substitutions to parts shown under the “General Rules/Championship Series” section and subsection, and the “class specific” sections (as listed below) will be permitted.

-Any specification(s) listed below may be superseded by the specification(s) listed in the class “general” or “specific” rules
-If a modification is not specifically allowed for, it will not be permitted
-No traction magnets (unless otherwise noted)
-Screws, setscrews, spacers, and shims where permitted may be added or replaced using any manufacture’s parts
-Unless otherwise noted, any worn or damaged part may be replaced only with the direct “Factory” supplied replacement part directly equivalent to the part being replaced
-Axle bushings may be glued in place
-Classes utilizing factory stock front axles and plastic wheels may have their axles trimmed and/or shims utilized to reduce side play
-Axles pacers may be added or removed as needed as long as all front and rear wheel track/width requirements are met
-May not be modified in any manner other than the minor removal of material to allow for normal fit and clearance to allow for float, and/or for the repair of race damage
-Interiors must remain “Factory” stock unless substitutions are permitted by the “class specific” rules
-Bodies and interiors may be custom painted, and all cars should have proper number sand markings as is prototypical and look like race cars of the series represented. “Test” cars are permitted.
-Adding spacers between the motor pod and chassis (if applicable) and/or spacers between the body and chassis to adjust clearance and tweak is permitted
-Cars maybe tuned for body float, however it is suggested that tape or a locking adhesive be used to assist in retention of the screws
-Split and cracked body posts may be repaired by reinforcement through the use of styrene, aluminum, brass or similar tubing and the use of glue over the damaged post aslong as the post’s original height is not altered
-Cars in race classes that require the use of factory stock plastic parts such as wings, wheels, etc. that are damaged may be repaired with glue and/or replaced with either a factory, (or if otherwise noted or unavailable) 3rd party, or 3D printed replacement parts of equivalent size, shape, and functionality
Guides –per the class “specific” listing
-Guide blades may be profiled and shimmed as needed
-Unless otherwise noted in the class “specific” rules, guide springs may be adjusted and/or removed
-Braid –any manufactures’ braid permitted
-Electrical– any manufactures’ wires, attachment brass eyelets/clips/setscrews as required for the guide blade being utilized are permitted
-Wire management – may be held in place and supported in place on the chassis using tape, heat shrink tubing, and/or adhesive. In addition, axle spacers (not to exceed .120”in length) and/or “earring backings” glued to the chassis may be used to assist n wire routing provided that no structural support, reinforcement, or axle support is gained.
-Electrical noise reduction devices (capacitors and inductors) may be removed
-Are permitted as long as they meet all “General” and “Class Specific” rules for the class being raced and utilize all parts provided with the kit as required to present a complete car
-Bodies and interiors may be custom painted, and all cars should have proper numbers and markings as is prototypical and look like race cars of the series represented
-After market parts are only permitted where the “General” and/or “Class Specific” rules permit
-Motors must remain factory stock and not be changed or modified in any manner, however it is permitted to trim the motor shaft length(s) to clear tires, bodywork, and/or inline gears
-Unless otherwise noted, all specified motors are to be non-ball bearing types
-When mounting a motor in a motor pod or chassis using the existing factory provided screw holes in the pod or chassis and the motor with the appropriate mounting screws, the motor must be mounted no lower than flush with the bottom of the motor pod and/or chassis
-When mounting a motor in a motor pod or chassis that does not have pre-existing factory screw holes, and/or where the motor does not have factory pre-existing tapped screw holes to support securing the motor using screws, the motor may only be secured with tape and/or glue and the motor must be mounted no lower than flush with the bottom of the motor pod (Note: only exception to this rule is the “Fly/Flyslot/Slotwings Trucks” class)
-Foam rings may be used as inner liners (fillers) on “air” type wheels
-Unless otherwise noted the correct size and style wheels with wheel inserts (if needed) are preferred
-Stock plastic wheels may be lightly sanded for the purposes of truing and glue may be used to repair loose or attach plastic wheels (front and rear) to the axle
-Front tires may be both glued and trued, and may not exceed past the body at any point excepting Formula class cars and where otherwise prototypical
-Rear wheels and tires may not exceed past the body at any point by more than .5mm(.020”) excepting Formula class cars and where otherwise prototypical
-Formula 1 (open wheel) type and size wheels and tires may only be utilized on cars where provided factory stock or where prototypically correct
-Typically rear tires are replaced with silicone tires
-Rear tires for each “Class Specific” race that are listed may be limited to certain tires or open depending on the particular race rules
-Tape may be used to limit and dampen the movement of motor pods, however must meet the minimum chassis/pod/motor assembly clearance specifications
-Cars must clear a minimum of .040” between the track surface and the bottom of the chassis/pod/motor assembly, and a minimum of .032” between the track surface and the bottom of the anglewinder/sidewinder spur or inline crown gear
Cars are expected to meet the “Motor Downforce” specification listed in the “Class Specific” rules so as to better maintain equality between the cars being raced. No more than a minimal variation will be permitted as measured using a “Magnet Marshal” or equivalent device.

All cars at the driver’s option and request maybe pre-checked for the following of the published race rules and possible infractions. The driver will be advised on issues that require correction, with the tech inspector’s and/or track owner’s option to grant “one-time race event” wavers to the infraction as long as there is no performance advantage gained. The top 4 placed race positioned cars may be inspected after the race, with any rule infractions not granted prior wavers leading to the possible disqualification of the driver/car. It is the driver’s responsibility to make sure and confirm that all rule requirements are followed and met.

-Any manufactures’ silicon tire used on the rear wheels are permitted for “Championship Rules” Class races (excepting actual Championship or series related races), however the tires used must match and be the equivalent in the size range (rim size fit, diameter, and width) to those listed in the current published “Championship Rules” (examples: Quick Slicks CB57= Super Tire 1407R/Quick Slicks CB47 = Super Tire 2114R/Quick Slicks CB43 =Super Tire 2102R/Quick Slicks CB33 or CB34 = Super Tire 1403R)
