Hey WNR race fans and participants, this is an advance notice of a planned change in Classes for the June 14th races scheduled at Rick’s. As the annual 24 Hours of Le Mans is scheduled to take place on June 10th and 11th, Rick has requested to do a Le Mans themed event with part of the race being run in the dark (more like dusk/dawn conditions). He has added lighting to his track and as such the second round of the event will be run in night time conditions. During that part of the event the cars should have lighting kits installed and working, however will not be absolutely required.

The normal two races that we run will be combined into a single race with each driver racing 2 cars, each car running all lanes, with their lap totals being combined. It will be up to each driver as to when they run each car as long as each car runs all 4 lanes of the track. Rick will have a chart available to keep track of who ran which car when. The 2 classes that we will run are the “Multi Manufacture Modern GT (short can) – Special Event” using the H&R Racing Blue Hawk 18k motor, and the “Slot.it Group C” and “Racer/Sideways Daytona Prototypes” using the Slot.it 23k (“orange”/”white” endbell) or Piranha 21.5k motors. You will note that we included the Daytona Prototypes in honor of Daytona renaming the Bus Stop Chicane as the “Le Mans Chicane” and Le Mans renaming the 1st chicane on the Mulsanne Straight as the “Daytona Chicane”.
